Your Medical Documents, Explained in Plain Language
We have all been there. You receive a blood test report filled with abbreviations and reference ranges, or a radiology report dense with medical terminology, and you are left wondering — what does this actually mean for my health?
Understanding your own medical documents should not require a medical degree. That is why we built document analysis directly into Symplicured.
What's New
Starting today, you can upload medical documents — lab reports, X-rays, MRI scans, prescriptions, and more — and receive instant AI-powered analysis that breaks down the findings in clear, everyday language.
Here is how it works:
- Upload your document — Take a photo or upload a PDF of your medical report
- AI analyses the document — Our system identifies the document type and extracts key findings
- Get a clear summary — Receive an understandable breakdown of what the results mean
- Ask follow-up questions — Continue the conversation to dig deeper into specific findings
The entire process takes seconds, not days.
Supported Document Types
Symplicured can now analyse six categories of medical documents:
Lab Reports
Upload your blood test, urine test, or other laboratory results. The AI identifies abnormal values, explains what each marker measures, and highlights findings that may warrant a conversation with your doctor.
Whether it is a complete blood count (CBC), metabolic panel, thyroid function test, or lipid profile — Symplicured breaks it down so you understand what your numbers mean.
X-Ray Images
Share an X-ray image and receive an AI-generated overview of what the image shows. The system identifies the anatomical region, notes any visible findings, and suggests questions you might want to ask your radiologist or doctor.
MRI Scans
MRI reports are among the most complex medical documents patients encounter. Upload your MRI scan and get a plain-language explanation of the region being examined, what the different areas represent, and what a doctor might look for.
CT Scans
Similar to MRI analysis, CT scan uploads receive a structured summary identifying the body area shown, notable observations, and context for understanding the results.
Prescriptions
Not sure what a medication does or how to take it? Upload a photo of your prescription and the AI will list the medications, explain their common uses and side effects, and provide guidance on proper dosage and timing.
Doctor Reports
Clinical summaries, discharge notes, specialist referrals — upload any doctor report to get a clear summary of key findings, recommended follow-up actions, and areas that might need further attention.
Smart Follow-Up Questions
What makes this feature truly useful is the ability to ask follow-up questions about your documents. After the initial analysis, Symplicured generates contextual questions tailored to your document type.
For example, after uploading a blood test report, you might see:
- "Can you summarise the key findings?"
- "Which values should I pay attention to?"
- "Are any values unusually high or low?"
You can click these suggestions or type your own questions. The AI maintains context from the document, so your conversation builds naturally — just like discussing results with a healthcare provider.
Secure by Design
We understand that medical documents contain some of your most sensitive personal information. Every document uploaded to Symplicured is:
- Encrypted during upload and storage
- Private to your account — only you can access your documents
- Organised in your personal health profile with tags and timestamps
- Deletable at any time — you maintain full control over your data
Your documents are stored securely in your Health Passport, where you can revisit them, organise them with tags like "blood_test," "prescription," or "mri," and track your health over time.
Why This Matters
Medical documents are generated for healthcare professionals, not patients. The language, abbreviations, and formatting are designed for clinical efficiency — which often leaves patients feeling confused and anxious about their own health data.
Studies show that patients who understand their medical results are more likely to:
- Follow through on treatment plans
- Ask better questions during doctor visits
- Catch potential issues early
- Feel less anxiety about their health
By making medical documents understandable, we are not just providing a convenience — we are empowering people to take an active role in their healthcare.
